Equine services are provided at the TOVWC clinic only.
Due to the high demand for Dr. Woerner’s services at the clinic we can offer equine services only at our equine care facility located at 19302 Silcott Springs Road, Purcellville VA 20132.
Appointments must be scheduled in advance. Emergency services for large animals are no longer available unless they are brought to the clinic.
Procedures we provide for our equine patients include:
Preventive Medicine
- Vaccines and Deworming administered according to the latest research on disease pathology and parasite resistance. Schedules are adjusted to meet the needs of the individual horse.
- Routine Surgery such as wound/laceration repair, and skin tumor removal.
- Dentistry: Normally horses are sedated and the PowerFLoat is used to remove sharps points and dental abnormalities. While under sedation, other procedures are done, for example a complete exam and thorough cleaning of the sheath in geldings and the intermammary region in mares.
Lameness Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services
- Lameness and Prepurchase Exams are done at our facility. Digital radiography and ultrasonography are available at all times.
- Preventive assessment of hoof balance using digital radiographs
Holistic Services: available at our clinic include:

- Acupuncture with Electric Stimulation

- Essential Oils/Raindrop Procedure
- Mesotherapy for back pain
Medical conditions: We can diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions such as choke (esophageal obstruction), colic, skin disease, poor performance issues and more. We use an integrative approach, combining traditional medicine with holistic practices to address medical problems.
Euthanasia with cremation services: We have a cremation service that will pick up at our facility. Please call in advance to arrange this service.
