We’re here for you during the coronavirus pandemic. Here are some questions we are getting….

  • Are your normal hours in effect? Yes, our regular business hours have not changed.
  • How do I get a refill? You can call in a refill and we will prepare it and leave it in our pickup box located just outside the clinic. You can either leave a check in the pickup box in the same plastic bag your Rx was dispensed in, or you can pay over the phone with a credit card.
  • Are you still seeing routine appointments? Yes
  • What about elective surgeries, such as dentals, spays and neuters? Our clinic is unique in that we do not have a waiting room and we schedule our appointments so that there is no overlap in patients. At this time we have not suspended elective surgeries, but we are taking additional precautions.
  • What do I do during an emergency? Call us, we are still seeing sick pets during our regular business hours. If after hours, or needs hospitalization, we will refer you to our local emergency clinics.
  • What measures are we taking to reduce the spread of the virus?
  • If you have signs of the virus (fever, cough, fatigue, difficulty breathing) please self quarantine. Delegate another person to bring you pet to us if it needs to be seen
  • When you visit the clinic, come alone. The fewer the people the better. If you don’t want to come into the clinic, call ahead and we will see your pet in your car or outside in our parking area
  • If you are elderly, have a cardiopulmonary pre-existing condition or are immunocompromised, you may not want to go to public places. If you can’t find someone to bring your pet to us, we can come to your house or we may be able to pick up your pet (concierge service) at an additional cost. As a last resort, we may be able to help you with minor problems over the phone.
  • We are disinfecting surfaces, pens, doorknobs, etc. and washing our hands before and after patient visits. The regular surgical masks do not protect you from contracting or transmitting the virus so we are not wearing them for appointments, only for surgery and dental procedures.
  • What about house calls? Dr. Woerner is still doing house calls
  • What if I’m afraid I’m sick? Please, if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath, contact your physician and self-quarantine.
  • Can my pet get the coronavirus? So far, there are no confirmed cases of pets contracting the disease.
  • Where do we look for updates? We have provided a comprehensive list of websites for your easy access so that you can keep up to date on any new developments. See Resources below.

Telemedicine: We can do telemedicine consults as well! If your pet is sick and you don’t want to bring your pet in for an exam. Our fees for these services are $150/session and you must call at least 2 hours ahead to discuss the logistics and to give us your credit card information prior to your scheduled call. This time allows Dr. Woerner to better research the case and be prepared to discuss treatment options.

SOCIAL MEDIA: We will continue to share information on social media. Please see our Facebook or Instagram page for additional information. We will make every effort to keep our website up to date on a weekly basis.
